Assistant Auditor General


Brad joined the Office of the Auditor General in 1998 and was promoted to the position of Assistant Auditor General in 2010.

Brad has worked with a number of departments, agencies and oversight boards within the Alberta public sector to improve their financial reporting, performance measurement and management control systems. He has led a number of value for money audits looking at capital planning, school building, treasury management, flood mitigation and pension sustainability. Brad also led the office’s work on the expenses of the office of premier Redford and Alberta’s air transportation services program.
Brad’s current audit responsibilities include the ministries of:
  • Infrastructure
  • Municipal Affairs
  • Treasury Board and Finance—includes the Province of Alberta’s financial statements,
    ATB Financial, Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission, Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation, Alberta Securities Commission, Alberta Capital Financing Authority, Alberta Pensions Services Corporation and all of the Alberta public sector pensions plans
Brad received a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction from the University of Alberta in 1998. He became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta in 2001. Brad is also a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors’ Directors Education Program.
